Kays Medical, national first aid and medical supplies company, are now producing our own version of calcium gluconate gel following a request from a multi-national petro-chemical company to manufacture large tubs of the gel, as a result of a workplace incident requiring the application of a lot more than a single tube of calcium gluconate gel.

Calcium gluconate gel combines with the hydrofluoric acid to neutralise the fluoride ion. Bone, deep tissue damage and risk of cardiac arrest can be greatly reduced with the immediate application of Calcium Gluconate Gel.

Kays Gel comes in two sizes, there is the standard 28g tube and now a 500g tub which is at present, the only tub of calcium gluconate gel available to UK Industry. The tube has been CE approved with the tub to follow. The distinct advantage of producing a tub of the gel is that larger amounts may be applied to contaminated areas with more haste thus reducing the level of injury to the casualty.
