Warehouse Picker / Packer
Kays Medical is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Warehouse Picker / Packer to join our warehouse team.
The Warehouse Picker/Packer is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and shipping products to customers in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role ensures the correct items are picked, packed securely, and delivered on time, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities:
Order picking:
- Retrieve items from inventory based on customer orders.
- Operate hand-held scanners or inventory management systems to confirm item selection.
- Check product codes, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
Packing:
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages with accurate shipping information.
- Follow packaging guidelines for various types of products.
Shipping:
- Coordinate with shipping teams to ensure timely dispatch of packages.
- Verify shipping documentation and address labels.
Inventory Management:
- Restock shelves and organize inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect items for damage or defects before shipping.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards.
Safety and Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow safety protocols, including handling heavy items and operating equipment safely.
Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members.
- Assist in other warehouse tasks as needed, such as receiving shipments or unloading trucks.
Qualifications and Experience
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Previous Experience
Experience in a warehouse administration or logistics support role is highly desirable. - IT Skills
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems. - Attention to Detail
Strong organisational skills with the ability to ensure accuracy in data entry, order processing, and stock control. - Problem-Solving
Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently, with a proactive approach to improving warehouse processes. - Time Management
Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines. - Team Player

Licence/Certification:
- Fork truck License (preferred)
Experience:
- Warehouse: 3 years (required)
