The qualification is made up of 6 mandatory modules:
- Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005
- Basic Acoustics: Understanding sound pressure levels, frequency, and the use of sound level meters
- Anatomy and Physiology of Hearing: Including types and degrees of hearing loss
- Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL): Pathology, risks, and social impact
- Personal Hearing Protection: Types, effectiveness, and proper usage
- Audiometry: Manual and automated testing, BSA procedures, equipment care, and calibration
- Audiogram Interpretation: Categorisation, validity, and reporting in line with HSE guidelines
