Course Overview:

Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2005, alongside the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system. The course covers the principles and procedures of respiratory testing, including:
  • Vital Capacity and Peak Flow Measurement
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)
  • Calibration and Infection Prevention
  • Client Preparation and Contraindications

Occupational Asthma Identification:

The course explores how to recognise signs of occupational asthma, when to refer to specialist teams such as the Lungs at Work Team, and how to report findings accurately and professionally.

  • Performing respiratory tests
  • Using relevant equipment
