For every minute without cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation, the chance of survival reduces by up to 10 per cent, which is why in an emergency situation, access to an iPAD (intelligent Public Access Defibrillator) is vital.

The award winning iPAD SP1 defibrillator has been developed with the end user in mind, making it easy to use; training isn’t required.

In operation, instructions are given at every step. The iPAD SP1 intelligently guides the user with calm voice prompts and large, clear illustrations which illuminate to highlight key commands.

Voice prompts automatically adjust to background noise, which can be crucial in noisy environments such as public places, construction sites, factories, warehouses and schools and the IP55 rating ensures that the iPAD can be used in harsh environments.

There are two sets of electrode pads included, one pre-connected to the AED and one spare. These pads can be used on adults and children (aged 1+).

The visual indicator shows at a glance: battery life, unit status & pad status, with unit performing a self-test every day to ensure functionality.

Internal memory stores the last 5 events/3 hours of data. Data can be transferred via the built-in SD card and IrDA (infrared) ports and can be reviewed via PC software and useful ‘handover’ information can brief ambulance crews via audio.

The iPAD SP1 has a 7-year manufacturer’s warranty, 5 years or 200 shock warranty on the battery and pads expire 3 years from manufacture.
